Hawley-Ween Help Needed

“A Thrilling Hallowe’en.” Chromolithograph postcard, ca. 1910. Missouri History Museum Photographs and Prints collection.

It’s Labor Day, which means October will be here before we know it! I’m writing to ask who might be interested in attending and/or helping with Hawley’s Children’s Halloween Party, a.k.a. Hawley-Ween, which will (probably) take place on the afternoon of Sunday, October 18.

We had a lot of fun at this event two years ago, but last year kids and their parents were WAY too busy the weekend before Halloween to participate (hence the earlier tentative date this year).

Please get in touch with me, Tinky, to let me know whether you’ll be able to come or help out. And remember, you don’t have to be little to enjoy Hawley-Ween. The more the merrier!

Harvest Supper

And don’t forget this weekend’s Harvest Supper!

That’s it for today.  I hope you have been enjoying the Labor Day sunshine….
