Recycling Materials Available for Purchase: Act Soon!

Are you interested in obtaining recycling bins and other materials for recycling? Hawley has been given the opportunity to order some recycling materials through the Solid Waste Management District. In particular, the district is offering:

blue recycling bins ($10 each),
kitchen compost pails ($6 each),
and plastic outdoor compost bins (not bear proof and in need of assembly, $65 each).

Unfortunately, the grant that once covered these items is no longer available. We realize that new residents (or even older residents) may still want them. If you are interested in any of these materials, please contact me, Tinky, by next Thursday, February 20. You will need to prepay for your purchases since we don’t have them in any budget. So please plan to deliver cash or a check made out to the Town of Hawley to the Town Office by then. The district needs to know what we are ordering that soon because prices for the materials are scheduled to go up the following week.
