The Charlemont-Hawley Senior Center meets weekly (on Wednesdays in the middle of the day) for a meal, occasional programs, and best of all a chance to visit. The group meets at the Charlemont Federated Church, 175 Main Street (Route 2), Charlemont. Anyone over 60 is welcome to join in. For more information, visit the center’s web page. The Senior Center often joins forces with the Hawley Council on Aging.
Through grants, the Senior Center also subsidizes and organizes foot care for seniors with nurse Piper Sagan, who visits the Federated Church on the first Tuesday of every other month. The cost to seniors if $25 per visit. Pre-registration with Piper is required; her phone number is 413 522-8432.
