A Clarification

In yesterday’s newsletter, Town Clerk Ellie Van Iderstine noted that she is looking for a registrar who is a Democrat or a left-leaning Independent. This has nothing to do with Ellie’s personal preference. The State requires that the registrars be evenly split between the left and the right, and we already have two Republicans on this four-person board.

She and I both apologize for not explaining this more clearly in the newsletter.
