Medicare Mysteries Uncovered from LifePath

“Wellness Unplugged” invites community members living with challenging health conditions to meet monthly on Zoom with area professionals who teach about crucial health topics. We  take time after the presentation to support each other in finding ways to apply the information to our lives. December’s group is titled, “Medicare Mysteries Uncovered,” and will be held on Monday, December 30, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. See description below.

Register in advance.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

Description of “Medicare Mysteries Uncovered”:

In this workshop we’ll discuss Medicare, the federal health-insurance program that helps with the cost of health care, and answer the most frustrating questions many older adults and those just turning 65 have. What do the different parts cover, Parts A, B, and D? Who is eligible? How do we enroll? How do we choose among the various options? How do we avoid penalties? How do we make these important decisions based on our financial situation, our medical insurance, and our comfort with the coverage we choose?

The workshop will be presented by Lorraine York-Edberg, SHINE Regional Program Director. The SHINE program, Serving the Health Insurance Needs of Everyone, provides confidential and unbiased health insurance counseling for Medicare beneficiaries.

That’s it for now. I wish you joy, good health, and peace this coming week and into the new year. Thanks to all the individuals who help the Town of Hawley in large and small ways, from plowing our snow to serving on committees. We are in your debt.

Warmly,

Tinky Weisblat
Gal Friday
