Long Bridge Information Session, a Senior Picnic, and More
An Information Session
The State Department of Transportation will host an information session at Hawlemont School this Thursday, July 11, at 6:30 p.m. about the proposed construction on the Long Bridge heading into Charlemont on Route 8A. This is a much traveled route so knowing more about the plans should help us as we look forward. For more information visit this link. All are welcome!
A Senior Event
Mark your calendars for Wednesday, July 24, beginning at 11 a.m. when the Council on Aging will host its second annual senior barbecue at the Charlemont Fairgrounds. Information may be found on the flyer below … but basically, if you like food, your neighbors, and/or music, you must come! Jenn Rich would appreciate knowing who is coming in advance, however.
Jury Duty Scam
This informational flyer comes from the District Attorney’s Office.
Save the Date for a Special Concert
Tinky Weisblat and Jerry Noble will pay tribute to the 80th anniversary of the first pairing of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein on Saturday, July 27, at 5 p.m. at the Charlemont Federated Church. More in our next newsletter…..
And … We Still Have COVID Tests and Masks
A week and a half ago, COVID struck my entire family (except for the pets, who did their best to serve as loyal companions). I was very grateful for Hawley’s store of home COVID tests. If you’d like a box or two, please let me know. The tests have technically expired … but as long as the “control” line shows up in a test (and it certainly showed up for my family), the test works. We still have lots of masks in the office as well.
That’s it for this week….
Your Gal Friday,
Tinky
