To obtain a death certificate, contact Town Clerk/Burial Agent Donna Lemoine by phone at 413 339-5518 or by email at townclerk@townofhawley.com.
Hawley has six cemeteries: four owned by the town and two private.
The town-owned cemeteries are Doane on Forget Road, the East Hawley on Plainfield Road (opposite the Fire Station); Bozrah on Bozrah Road and South Hawley on Hallockville Road (in the State Forest). To obtain a plot in one of these cemeteries, contact the Town Office at 413 339-5518.
The private cemetery associations are for the Pudding Hollow Cemetery on Pudding Hollow Road and The West Hill Cemetery on West Hill Road. Pudding Hollow has its own website; to get contact information for West Hill, please contact the Town Office at 413 339-5518 or info@townofhawley.com.
Unlike many surrounding towns, Hawley allows green burials. In general, people wishing to purchase a burial plot must have a tangible connection to the town. For pricing and availability, contact Gal Friday Tinky Weisblat at the Town Office.
Burial certificates are available for $10 from Town Clerk Donna Lemoine.
